Vicki Maisonneuve-Babb

Vicki Maisonneuve-Babb MSN, RN, CRRN is recognized as a mission-driven leader. She has a diverse background including clinical experience in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Ortho Neuro and Trauma, Home Health care. With over forty years of experience, she has held a variety of nursing education & leadership roles in multiple settings with continually increasing responsibility in healthcare system leadership. 

As Director of Nursing Center of Excellence & Magnet® for Parkview Health, a large healthcare system, Vicki developed and implemented a customized strategy with a focus on quality care, engagement and talent retention, and effectively implemented a Magnet® champion team of 111 clinical nurses that successfully helped drive Magnet® education across Parkview Health. She developed teams at each system hospital and worked in the writing and coordination of a 7-hospital simultaneous Magnet 2nd designation in September 2022.

Vicki is skilled in brokering collaboration between diverse teams to achieve a common goal, starting with a focus on the identification and development of a shared vision. She worked with clinical nurses to redefine the clinical action teams at the unit level.

She has the ability to identify, develop, and implement innovative solutions to challenges. For example, she designed a unique experiential onboarding experience for new RN’s incorporating simulation-based learning activities which has directly affected the healthcare system 1st year RN turnover. 

Vicki led system patient education initiatives to provide consistent quality tools to patients that supports strategic initiatives related to increasing the patient experience. Skilled as a public speaker, Vicki has local and national experience speaking to audiences on various areas of expertise with a passion for nursing practice including peer review, patient education, shared leadership, and supporting clinical nurses to have a voice in practice. Vicki has a strong commitment to the recognition of clinical nurses as integral members of the healthcare team.

Vicki received her diploma in nursing from the Parkview School of Nursing in 1984, bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ball State University and master’s degree in nursing education from Ball State University. Additionally, she is certified in Rehabilitation Nursing. She is published and has lectured at the university level and nationally on various clinical and leadership topics.
